Professional Development for Early Childhood & School-Age Educators

Course Description

Educators are concerned about the overall well-being of the children with whom they work. However, it is often difficult to assess emotional and behavioral issues. What falls within the bounds of “normal” behavior? We will reflect on our own attitudes about mental health. This workshop will cover distinguishing factors to use when deciding if a child and family should be referred to mental health services, how to make a plan, and what to do next. We will also share ways to connect with community resources.
