Course Description

For many children, social skills come easily. Some, however, seem to struggle with basic skills related to peer relationships. These children find it difficult to approach and interact with peers, miss nonverbal cues, are unable to maintain cooperative pretend play with other children, frequently get into conflict with peers, and find being in a group challenging. We will review the specific social and communication challenges faced by these children together with strategies for working with them.
